GIG: U-Turn @ The Goudhurst Inn

Charity party gig at Goudhurst in Kent

U-Turn were off straightaway from The Potting Shed gig, saying goodbye to Chris, to The Goudhurst Inn in Goudhurst, Kent – the journey a kind of budget version of Phil Collins’ Live Aid dash. The occasion was a dinner dance organised by Dave in aid of Demelza Hospice Care for Children. Guests enjoyed a meal in the function room followed by live music in the pub itself.

U-Turn formed up with Neil, Pete B, Paul Annis, David Lofts and Robert Hale making his U-Turn debut. The evening was hot and quite stormy with torrential rain which made Robert a lot more electrically conductive than usual, due to a dash from his car!

We had a really good night with the dinner guests getting up and dancing! Demelza benefitted nicely too, so all-in-all a good evening! David’s guitar practically fell in to two pieces and he was lucky to finish the gig with it!
