Following on from our Swan on the Green gig
U-Turn played at Swan on the Green in West Peckham back in January and we were asked to play on the evening of the West Peckham Fête.
We formed up with Neil, Chris, Pete B, Steve Large, Pete Roberts and Dan Evans on percussion. Dan came straight from a previous gig in Tonbridge with Salsadelic – so on arrival, he duly changed out of his Cuban heels and crimson satin puffed sleeved shirt undone to the navel, into something a little bit more comfortable and family-friendly!
It was a beautiful warm night on the green with marquees and tables set up in a large horseshoe with U-Turn playing under canvas. There was a hog roast but alas proved too popular for us to get to try! Tonbridge Bitter was flowing on special and we were also given a small cask of ale which we divided up for a nice drink at home – so things evened out.
